Rudy Fuchs

Rudy Fuchs is a Tax Attorney for Talley, LLP. His practice focuses on estate and gift planning for high net worth individuals and business owners.
Upon joining the Firm in 2005, Fuchs brought with him almost twenty-five years of professional experience, including several years collectively of broad tax experience in Big 4 and regional public accounting firms, as well as having worked in the corporate tax departments of public and privately held companies and in private consulting, followed more recently by seven years in private legal practice with two local law firms in the areas of estate planning, tax and business law including four years as a law partner.
A Certified Public Accountant in the State of California, Fuchs is also a member of the California State Bar and is certified as a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and all courts of the State of California.

Gene Kent

Professional Experience
Gene has over 21 years experience serving as an attorney in the Orange County/Los Angeles area. His expertise includes estate planning & administration coupled with business planning.
Gene holds a B.A. in English from the University of Utah and a J.D. from Western State College of Law.
Prior to his employment at Talley, Gene was a sole practitioner.
Gene is an avid cyclist, fisherman, and amateur astronomer.
Christopher Gurley

Chris Gurley is a Tax Attorney for Talley, LLP. His practice focuses on providing tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses, and business owners. Chris has significant experience counseling clients through all phases of both federal and state controversies.
Prior to joining Talley, Chris worked at an international law firm, a “Big Four” accounting firm, and clerked for the honorable Joseph Robert Goeke at the U.S. Tax Court. Chris is also an experienced sports agent, representing professional athletes in the NFL and CFL.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys sports, traveling, grilling and spending times with friends and family.

Maria Parker
Estate Planning Attorney
Professional Experience
Maria Parker serves on the legal team with Tally Law Group, LLP. Maria focuses her practice primarily on estate planning, probate and trust administration, as well as strategic estate tax planning.
In her early career, Maria worked as a real estate agent and since 2004 has held a California real estate broker license. With more than two decades of experience in real estate lending and sales, Maria felt prompted to further her education and become an attorney where she could provide much needed estate planning guidance for her clients. Prior to joining the Talley legal team, Maria was an associate attorney at Bezaire & Leathers in Irvine, California.
Maria attended California Western School of Law where she received a special honor for her advanced writing skills, and she continues her study of the English language.

When Maria isn’t working, she is usually sailing with her husband, Phillip, and her other friends out of Dana Point Harbor.

Robin Boren-Coleman Sexton

Robin Boren-Coleman Sexton is an estate planning attorney for Talley, LLP. Robin focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration and business and succession planning. Robin has more that 22 years of professional experience including serving as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Riverside Superior Courts. Prior to joining Talley, Robin worked at the Morgan Law Group in Newport Beach, California. Robin’s intelligent and heart-felt guidance for her clients is reflected in each and every estate plan prepared.
Robin highly regards civil service and goes beyond to give back to her profession, family and community. She has served on various board of directors including serving as National Charity League President of the Vista Irvine Chapter.
Outside of work, Robin enjoys spending time with her family including her three daughters, Colette, Camille and Chloe.

Karen Shiffman is a tax attorney for Talley, LLP. Her practice focuses on businesss formation, estate planning and succession planning.
Karen is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of professional experience including nearly a decade in Big 4 and regional public accounting firms. Prior to joining Talley in 2017, Karen was a sole practitioner attorney.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys traveling, hiking, watching football, and taking her dog to the dog beach.

Sherry Brooks
Legal Assistant
Professional Experience
Sherry Brooks is a legal assistant here at Talley, LLP. Her duties include: processing incorporations, corporate dissolutions, estate planning, responding to IRS notices on clients’ behalf, and assisting the tax department during tax season with things like extensions and assembly of tax returns.
Sherry has 2 children: a son Toby, 20, going to school and working for Jennings Racing building race car engines, and daughter Tracy, 23, who graduated UCLA in 2001 and is currently working at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Irvine.
In her spare time, Sherry enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading. If not at Talley, Sherry says she would probably be doing volunteer work.
