Rudy Fuchs

Rudy Fuchs is a Tax Attorney for Talley, LLP. His practice focuses on estate and gift planning for high net worth individuals and business owners.
Upon joining the Firm in 2005, Fuchs brought with him almost twenty-five years of professional experience, including several years collectively of broad tax experience in Big 4 and regional public accounting firms, as well as having worked in the corporate tax departments of public and privately held companies and in private consulting, followed more recently by seven years in private legal practice with two local law firms in the areas of estate planning, tax and business law including four years as a law partner.
A Certified Public Accountant in the State of California, Fuchs is also a member of the California State Bar and is certified as a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and all courts of the State of California.

Gene Kent

Professional Experience
Gene has over 21 years experience serving as an attorney in the Orange County/Los Angeles area. His expertise includes estate planning & administration coupled with business planning.
Gene holds a B.A. in English from the University of Utah and a J.D. from Western State College of Law.
Prior to his employment at Talley, Gene was a sole practitioner.
Gene is an avid cyclist, fisherman, and amateur astronomer.
Karen Shiffman

Karen Shiffman is a tax attorney for Talley, LLP. Her practice focuses on businesss formation, estate planning and succession planning.
Karen is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of professional experience including nearly a decade in Big 4 and regional public accounting firms. Prior to joining Talley in 2017, Karen was a sole practitioner attorney.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys traveling, hiking, watching football, and taking her dog to the dog beach.

Christopher Gurley

Chris Gurley is a Tax Attorney for Talley, LLP. His practice focuses on providing tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses, and business owners. Chris has significant experience counseling clients through all phases of both federal and state controversies.
Prior to joining Talley, Chris worked at an international law firm, a “Big Four” accounting firm, and clerked for the honorable Joseph Robert Goeke at the U.S. Tax Court. Chris is also an experienced sports agent, representing professional athletes in the NFL and CFL.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys sports, traveling, grilling and spending times with friends and family.

Sherry Brooks
Legal Assistant
Professional Experience
Sherry Brooks is a legal assistant here at Talley, LLP. Her duties include: processing incorporations, corporate dissolutions, estate planning, responding to IRS notices on clients’ behalf, and assisting the tax department during tax season with things like extensions and assembly of tax returns.
Sherry has 2 children: a son Toby, 20, going to school and working for Jennings Racing building race car engines, and daughter Tracy, 23, who graduated UCLA in 2001 and is currently working at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Irvine.
In her spare time, Sherry enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading. If not at Talley, Sherry says she would probably be doing volunteer work.
