Dave is a manager of the firm's Accounting and Auditing function.
He is primarily responsible for the planning and supervision of
audit, review and compilation engagements, financial statement quality
control, and overall client service. Additionally, Mr. Szecsei is
responsible for performing many of the firm's financial consulting
engagements.
Mr. Szecsei has significant experience working with small to mid-size
businesses and their owners and managers. He has particular exposure
to the construction, distribution, transportation and securities
industries. Mr. Szecsei has assisted these businesses by performing
audits and reviews, preparing financial statements, developing ratio
and cash flow analyses, and analyzing internal control policies
and procedures. He is also experienced in providing audit and consulting
services for employee benefit plans regulated by the U.S. Department
of Labor.
Prior to joining Talley & Company, Mr. Szecsei worked with the
local accounting firm of Guzman & Gray in Long Beach, California.
During his two years there he managed audit and review engagements
of small and mid-size companies in various industries, including
manufacturing, financial services, and tax-exempt organizations.
He also spent four years working with Spicer & Oppenheim, an
international accounting and consulting firm in Los Angeles, California.
Dave is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of
California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. Dave attended California State University, Northridge
where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and garnered
summa cum laude honors.
Mr. Szecsei lives in Newport Beach with his wife, Maria.
